Carolyn Diamond
Esthetician
As the daughter of an accomplished artist, Carolyn learned early on to appreciate the beauty of fine art and music. She was able to develop this appreciation as a young adult through photography, sketching and water-color. Carolyn's love of art naturally transitioned to the art of professional make up application, which she has practiced for more than 20 years. She has been trained by internationally renowned make-up artists and continually strives to expand her skills and knowledge through, education, travel, and hands on experience. Additionally, Carolyn's training as a professional photographer allows her to specialize in the art of photography make up. She understands how to make her clients camera-ready, ultimately producing more flattering and natural-looking results.
To say Carolyn Diamond is a Star in her own right comes from her family genealogy dating back to the 1920's when the Withers family arrived in Hollywood from New Zealand. Her Great Uncle Ted was head of the art department at Universal Studios for 22 years, then went to Brown and Bigelow, becoming one of the world's best pin-up artists. Her Grandfather Alfred Withers worked at 20th Century Fox for 28 years as the master carpenter for most of director John Ford's movies sets. Carolyn credits most of her skills and knowledge of art from her father, renowned artist Robert P. Withers. Even today she still seeks out her father's instruction and advice in the world of art and how it applies to make up.
